The Sphinx Of Giza

The Sphinx was approximately built around 2,500 BC. It was built under the reign of the Pharaoh Khafre. The Sphinx was built to display a symbol of of divine royal power, bending the strength of a lion mixed with human intelligence. The Sphinx originally was painted with bright colors. It has lost its colors over the millennia. It is also said the people that helped build the Sphinx ate like royalty. I think the Sphinx has a cool design to it, its definitely on my bucket list of places I want to visit in Egypt.
