Percy Jackson & The Sea Of Monsters Reviews and Trailer

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) continues Percy’s adventure as he and his friends journey into the dangerous Sea of Monsters to find the legendary Golden Fleece, which could save Camp Half-Blood from destruction. The sequel has more action, mythical creatures, and Greek mythology than the first movie, and the addition of Tyson gives Percy an interesting new relationship to explore. While the movie is entertaining and has some fun moments, its story can feel rushed and it takes even more liberties with Rick Riordan’s book than The Lightning Thief. Critics were mixed, with Rotten Tomatoes currently listing it at 43%, while audiences have generally been somewhat more positive. Personally, I’d give it a 4/5—it’s a fun fantasy adventure that works well as a sequel, even if it doesn't fully capture what makes the books special. In the U.S., you can currently stream Sea of Monsters on Disney+ and Netflix, or rent/buy it through services including Amazon Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home.
